All things BRANDING with Quixotic Design
When I realized it was finally time to take my dream of it’s peachy seriously and launch it into a company, my first thought was branding. I knew I needed to come out of the gate strong with a professional logo, typefaces, color palette and an overall vibe. I understand the importance of a good brand, the trust it can develop with an audience, the level it can elevate a company to, and the higher level of profit it can produce. Fortunately, I didn’t have to look too far. Meredith Cancilla and I have known each other through our mutual best friend, and she just so happens to have her own design agency. *SCORE! (plus she’s fun to drink wine with so there’s that)
When I reached out to Meredith, she was instantly on board and excited to work together. After I sent in the initial inquiry through her website, got setup on my client portal and had jumped on our first call, I knew Meredith would be the one to make my vision come to life. She really helped me niche down what I envisioned this new project would look like. We created a mood board and discussed which typefaces (fonts) I was drawn to, which ones I wasn’t drawn to, colors I loved, and fun extra emblems. From there she took the reins and worked up the first draft which consisted of six logo sets. Let me tell you - this was one of the more difficult parts of the process because ALL of the logos looked so fun and vibrant and on brand with exactly what I wanted. Once the final set was finally selected, Meredith went to work on the files (and everything else she does behind the scenes - again, this is why she’s the professional here) before providing me with the finished logo suite.
The final product consisted of every file type I will ever need for my logos, typefaces, swatches and my specialized Brand Identity Guide. This Brand Identity Package is just another thing that sets Meredith apart from the rest. It’s like the holy grail. It demonstrates how to use my primary logos, my alternate logos, color usage, primary and limited use typeface, photo overlays, social and web use… I mean the list goes on, making it extremely easy for us non-designers to plug right into our business.
Meredith and her team were extremely professional, even when it came to working with a friend! I was very impressed with her seamless process, her sense of urgency, level of communication and ultimately the deliverables.
On our Instagram Live, Meredith also shared with us some insight into Quixotic’s future. Coming this October, she will be releasing website templates, making websites much more attainable for new entrepreneurs!! As a new entrepreneur myself, I have a huge appreciation for this undertaking and know it’s no easy task - but will reap enormous benefits and provide so much value.
If you’re in the season of creating a new company, a re-brand, package design, or web design… look no further. BONUS: Meredith has extended an offer to our it’s peachy community! When you inquire for a new project at quixoticdesignco.com, simply mention “itspeachy” for 10% off.
